Commercial Description:
An original American pale ale, our XPA highlights the subtle, sophisticated flavors and aromas of our Midwestern two-row malt and imported aromatic and Munich malts. Washington-grown Mt. Hood and Fuggles hops create an extremely balanced beer with a beautiful straw color.

Bottle: Poured a dark golden yellow color with not much head at all. The aroma was slightly hoppy and slightly citrus. The flavor was smooth and easy drinking with faint character of hops and citrus. Overall, an mass consumption beer with not much after taste.

Pours smoothly and has the normal look of a Pale Ale. Light levels of hops in aroma and taste. Nothing bad about it per se, but nothing extraordinary of any note.

I wasn’t very impressed. It didn’t have a distinct flavor to it. Flying Fish makes very good beer but this one does not shine.

Disappointing. Dark straw color with a white head. Mild aroma of malts and hops. Matching taste.

ABV: 4.8% RateBeer rating: 38 Calories: estimated at 140 C Volume: 12 fl oz Glass: lager glass, shaker Purchased at: Lawrence Grill, Lawrenceville, NJ Price: $4.00 bottle Free, and thanks x2, Smed! Consumed at: Lawrence Grill at post LUG/IP (Linux User’s Group in Princeton) party First Impression: A pretty average beer, especially when you are expecting something of a craft variety. Aroma was dulled due to chills, but muted even after warming up. Visuals were a pale copper with an okay off white head. Taste was better than an American pilsener, but not by much. Palate was thin and simple. Second Impression - Not bad. Not a great beer but probably still the best they have to offer at Lawrence Grill. On tap at Citizens Bank Park. Pours darker yellow, decent lace work. Intial hop flavor is generous but mellows out in the finish. Wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised.

This extra pale ale has a beautiful straw yellow color and smooth poor. Because it is extra pale, you lose that strong hop flavor for a smooth finish that anyone with a distate for IPAs (like my girlfriend Jeannine) couldn’t resist. It is delicious on tap at Citizens Bank Park for a fantastic Phillies Game.
