Commercial Description:
An original American pale ale, our XPA highlights the subtle, sophisticated flavors and aromas of our Midwestern two-row malt and imported aromatic and Munich malts. Washington-grown Mt. Hood and Fuggles hops create an extremely balanced beer with a beautiful straw color.

Golden-amber; slightly musty aroma with English hops, pear and light caramel. Slightly buttery palate, with a touch of tangerine. Surprisingly lifeless - I normally dig this brewery's stuff.

Clear apple juice body with medium white head. Aroma is faint, apple, pine, fresh-baked bread. Taste is medium sweet, apple, tart, finishing very mildly earthy bitter. Light body.

On tap. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of fruits and maybe some flowers. Tastes of the same. On the sweet side. Thinner body. Not much really going on with this one.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and yellow gold color. Aroma is grainy, husky, light malt-sweetness, some spicy hops. Taste follows. No really bad characteristics, just barely middle of the road pale ale. Lots of effervescence/fizzy on the front of the tongue. OK carbonation.

Sparkling clear, yellow ale with a small, white, fizzy head. Weak aroma, but I do detect faint notes of butterscotch, English toffee and straw. The flavor is a bit watery and thin, but does have a smooth, silky mouthfeel with some mild, citrus notes. Buttery. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The finish is short and moderately bitter.

Bottle courtesy of Jabic. Pours a hazy copper with a nice white head. Smells of straw, citrus, doughy. Tastes citrussy and overly sweet.

Way too carbonated, gushing a yellowish coarse bubbled head atop a light yellow body. Nose of a Belgian blonde ale, with light spicy yeast and lemons, tastes similar, some mild grassy hops and some lemon zest. Nothing too impressive.

Golden color with a only a few off-white bubbles floating on top. Damp husky barley scents. I like the scent in a malt house way, but in a brew I’m not so sure. Heavy malty flavors, and again with a raw barley flavor. The flavors not one that it unattenuated or worty, just grainy. Some light sweet citrus creeps in in the middle. I do have to say it is what it says it is, an american pale ale, and that is all.
