gws57 (995), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Mar 19, 2008 Had this one bottled, thanks Jerry and Gina! Clear, medium orange pour, with a thin, slowly dissipating head that laced out nicely. Slightly fruity nose, maybe pineapple or something similar, and a bit of rosy hoppiness that is not overwhelming. Not much bitterness here. Actually quite balanced, almost too sweet for the style. Apple, grape, sweet bready malts and a touch of floral hoppiness. Milky mouthfeel. This is an odd APA but very sessionable.
Rciesla (871), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light yellow body with a light malty aroma. Some light fruity esters of banana and citrus. Sweet and simple. not much to boot really. chimp_lechamp (372), freehold, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2008 tap at johnny b’s philly- pours very pale, yellow, with banana nose, very esthery wheat comes off too. slightly sweet and earthy taste. JPDIPSO (4280), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Sep 16, 2008 Golden color with a only a few off-white bubbles floating on top. Damp husky barley scents. I like the scent in a malt house way, but in a brew I’m not so sure. Heavy malty flavors, and again with a raw barley flavor. The flavors not one that it unattenuated or worty, just grainy. Some light sweet citrus creeps in in the middle. I do have to say it is what it says it is, an american pale ale, and that is all. Bungalo22 (304), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Sep 15, 2008 Poured from the bottle a dark yellow with an orange tint and a nice but little head that dissipated quickly. It has a slightly hoppy aroma with just a bit of citrus in there. It is a smooth beer with just a bit of a bite from the hops but not much else there. It isn’t bad just not a stand out. checkmatei1 (275), Willow Grove, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bottle: Poured a dark golden yellow color with not much head at all. The aroma was slightly hoppy and slightly citrus. The flavor was smooth and easy drinking with faint character of hops and citrus. Overall, an mass consumption beer with not much after taste.
