Commercial Description:
An original American pale ale, our XPA highlights the subtle, sophisticated flavors and aromas of our Midwestern two-row malt and imported aromatic and Munich malts. Washington-grown Mt. Hood and Fuggles hops create an extremely balanced beer with a beautiful straw color.

Had this one bottled, thanks Jerry and Gina! Clear, medium orange pour, with a thin, slowly dissipating head that laced out nicely. Slightly fruity nose, maybe pineapple or something similar, and a bit of rosy hoppiness that is not overwhelming. Not much bitterness here. Actually quite balanced, almost too sweet for the style. Apple, grape, sweet bready malts and a touch of floral hoppiness. Milky mouthfeel. This is an odd APA but very sessionable.

Bottle. Pours a light yellow body with a light malty aroma. Some light fruity esters of banana and citrus. Sweet and simple. not much to boot really.

Golden color with a only a few off-white bubbles floating on top. Damp husky barley scents. I like the scent in a malt house way, but in a brew I’m not so sure. Heavy malty flavors, and again with a raw barley flavor. The flavors not one that it unattenuated or worty, just grainy. Some light sweet citrus creeps in in the middle. I do have to say it is what it says it is, an american pale ale, and that is all.

Poured from the bottle a dark yellow with an orange tint and a nice but little head that dissipated quickly. It has a slightly hoppy aroma with just a bit of citrus in there. It is a smooth beer with just a bit of a bite from the hops but not much else there. It isn’t bad just not a stand out.

Bottle: Poured a dark golden yellow color with not much head at all. The aroma was slightly hoppy and slightly citrus. The flavor was smooth and easy drinking with faint character of hops and citrus. Overall, an mass consumption beer with not much after taste.
