| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2005 Sample at the Mondial from 12 oz bottle. Dew-fogged yellow-gold with decent head retention, lots of bubbling in the oily body...farmy, honey-sweet nose with touches of fresh herbs...effervescent, light body, moderately dry front turns very arid near the finish, moderated a bit by the subtle yeasty breadiness...hints of iron at the end do not damage this quaffable light saison much at all. hezron (601), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA

Clear golden yellow with a rocky white head. Light flavor, some metallic maltiness and a light grassy-bitter finish. Light body, watery, fairly soft carbination. Good on a hot summer night. Thanks to zathrus13 for the bonus bottle. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Very clear (duh) golden, gentle white top. Light straw and hay nose, very light, slightly sour, but globally well done, just subdued and sweeter than most. Mellow noble hops, grainy cerealic malts and banana yeastiness pair together to hint at more traditional saison. The palate confirms it will remain an attempt. Initially very sweet, floral, but a good dryness tries to kick in, the yeast seems to stop it a bit short, trying to boast its bready flavours, sour and bubblegum like. Not very complex, fairly light bodied and tingling bubbles on the tongue. Decent try. MartinT (5050), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2005 The Lure: White pepper spiciness flourishes over the straw and yeasty bite. Attractive grassy hops mingle within, as does lactic acidity.
The Festivities: Green, grassy hops and feeble malt husks benefit from a smooth, non-obtrusive mouthfeel. Finish is dry and somewhat watery, as the flavors and body slowly vanish from the senses. Good, but entirely forgettable.
Transcendence: Apparently, this rustic farmhouse has been renovated with stainless steel products. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 26, 2005 Draught at Old Bay was medium-bodied, with a light hop flavor, mellow wheat flavor and slight spiceness. There is a dry finish and lingering hops and spice into the aftertaste. Nothing assertive but a nice summer beer. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2005 Very light color. Very easy to drink. Watery, but with some spicy hop character. A decent drink, but it is not good for a Saison. Not their best. On tap at Old Bay.
