jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 20, 2005 on tap-a nice golden color. A white head that reduced to minimal. Aroma-hoppy, flavor-hoppy. Towards crisp/dry. Not complex, nice. Arayaga2 (933), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 18, 2005 Generic beer aroma with a mild apricot smell. Taste is the same, only watery with a slight salty taste. It’s basically a light beer that you might drink instead of a fruit infused seltzer. thehinge (244), Wilmington, Delaware, USA May 16, 2005 Pours a golden color....actually looked lighter at the outset....hadn’t noticed that before... Small head that had just a hint of lacing. Aroma is of straw/grasss.....
nothing special there. Taste has hints of hops and just a little citrus at the end. I could see drinking a crisp ale like this on a summer day. richlikebeer (823), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 14, 2005 tap at andy’s, pale golden with a creamy white head. aroma is grassy with a little citrus tone. flavor was very boring, a little bit of malts and a slightly hoppy finish. i didnt get any of the spicyness i was told to expect. i thought this was pretty boring and would never stand it up next to even hennipin or heavyweight dark. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA May 14, 2005 Tap. Golden/yellow color with a good sized white head. Yeasty, citrusy aroma. Flavor was somewhat mild. A bit sweet at first then turning tart. Some yeast and spices in there too. dolemike1 (1116), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2005 Yellowish, clear, moderate white head, lightly hoppy aroma, flavor is light , subdued, slightly spicy with a touch of sweetness, watery mouthfeel, not very exciting, refreshing on a hot day... i guess. jeffin7 (610), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Apr 20, 2005 Pours clear amber with a fluffy white head that fades to a thin layer. Aroma is subtle and of apple/pear, butter, a very very mild barnyard. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Not bad just very mild and uncomplicated for a saison. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA Apr 8, 2005 This summer beer poured a pale golden color with a good white head. Clear clarity with some evident carbonation. Some floral aroma with a little spiciness, maybe juniper. The taste is clean and crisp showing nice flavor. Some honey, clove and pepper are the most visible as I taste it. The hops linger in the aftertaste displaying a warming effect. A very good beer for the summer.
