Commercial Description:
A tribute to the highly drinkable ""every day"" beers from French-speaking Belgium. Contains Belgian two-row pale malt and 7% wheat. This beer is lightly filtered with an earthy, spicy hop character from imported Styrian Goldings hops and a beautiful rich creamy head from the wheat. Dry quenching finish achieved by use of the traditional sour mash process

Flying Fish beers run the spectrum from light to dark. A good ’lawn-mower’ beer.

Bottle, pale gold color, slight nose, and taste. This is an ok farmhouse, but not an exciting one.

A lighter summer beer. Not too distinctive, but still pretty good. A slight bitter aftertaste.

Gold color, with a white head. Aromas of hops, fruit, and yeast. Flavor is subtle, with hops and some spice. Body is light.

Pale gold appearance with a medium size white head and little lacing. Low keyed, gently spiced, grassy, wheaty aroma. A touch of sweetness in the taste along with some light fruitiness. Turns drier and more herbal as it finishes. Light-to-medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Refreshing.

Sample at Sleepy Bear tasting 09/30/06 - Aroma is sweet, artifical bubblegum and spice. Pours clear yellow with a big head and decent lacing. Flavor is sweet and bland. Palate is thin and clean. A lame attempt at a wonderful style. Where’s the funk?

Mine had no head at all, but was a rich full golden color; with any head at all it would have gotten a 5 on apperance. Taste is fruity and heavily scented with floral hops. I did not detect much wheat in the flavor, but some of the characteristic yeast taste that I associate with Belgian wheat ales was there. Indeed, a nice summer beer, though there are many German wheats that I would take first!

Tap. Golden/yellow color with a good sized white head. Yeasty, citrusy aroma. Flavor was somewhat mild. A bit sweet at first then turning tart. Some yeast and spices in there too.
