Light smooth palate with a light bitterness. Malty (wheat) finish. Good quencher. Not as good as last years example. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 24, 2008 12oz bottle served in a flute-ish glass. Clear golden body topped by some decent foam. Smell is bland and watery, not saison like at all, maybe some lemon or citrus. Not much taste, bland malt, once again lacking saison phenolics and esters. Does leave some nice sheets of lace however. Looks good but doesn’t have much of a flavor. Avoid. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2005 tap at andy’s, pale golden with a creamy white head. aroma is grassy with a little citrus tone. flavor was very boring, a little bit of malts and a slightly hoppy finish. i didnt get any of the spicyness i was told to expect. i thought this was pretty boring and would never stand it up next to even hennipin or heavyweight dark. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2004 Interesting--sour and salty, almost like it was diffused with part salt water at some point when it was made. Bright gold color. At its base, tastes like a tap ale found anywhere. keepersj12 (808), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

It had some funk, but mild enough to please the masses. At least the masses of beer lovers. Really refreshing summer beer. I didn’t really get the wheat in the aroma, but I’m just glad it didn’t have that grainy aroma of most FF beer. I think this is one of their better beers.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, golden orange with a small, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was a hint a caramel malt, light citrus hops (lime), and light to moderate horse blanket yeast. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and bitter, and moderately acidic; while the finish was moderate to heavily acidic, moderately bitter, and sour with an average duration. There was a little caramel malt then some funky yeast and citrus hop with a little lemon and a little wheat. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and moderate to heavy astringent finish. Birdiebeagle (802), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Bottle Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Head is a touch foamy. Has a good hoppy aroma. Taste is very good but on the lighter side of the line. A very refreshing summer beer. Good carbination and a solid flavor with just enough finish to remind you that its a real beer and not just cold swill. I enjoyed many of these at the beach this year.
