Smells of dry malt, light spice, perfume, some floral hints. Tastes lightly bitter with some refreshing dry malt. Crisp finish. I was hoping for a little more body and a touch of funk, but this is very sessionable. MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2005 The Lure: White pepper spiciness flourishes over the straw and yeasty bite. Attractive grassy hops mingle within, as does lactic acidity.
The Festivities: Green, grassy hops and feeble malt husks benefit from a smooth, non-obtrusive mouthfeel. Finish is dry and somewhat watery, as the flavors and body slowly vanish from the senses. Good, but entirely forgettable.
Transcendence: Apparently, this rustic farmhouse has been renovated with stainless steel products. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Golden color with a taller off-white to aged paper colored head. Pale and toasted malt, light citrus, and some hints of earthy, green herbal hops. This one does not seem right at all. I catch some stomach acid from the start that throws everything else off. I catch more earthy hops and some chalky malt, but I still have some inundation of un-pleasantries. It does seem to diminish over time, but I still have the thoughts in the back of my mind and hesitate with each sip. A somewhat metallic feel in the finish and linger. I’m thinking that the sour mash process did not do tis one favors. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, malt syrup), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a light note of gum. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not too bad, really, but it also isn’t trying too hard to impress. It doesn’t have much by way of yeast characteristics, and the aromas are light overall, but it’s nicely dry and respectably low in alcohol. The malt character is a bit raw. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Dew-fogged yellow-gold with decent head retention, lots of bubbling in the oily body...farmy, honey-sweet nose with touches of fresh herbs...effervescent, light body, moderately dry front turns very arid near the finish, moderated a bit by the subtle yeasty breadiness...hints of iron at the end do not damage this quaffable light saison much at all. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
