Poured pretty dark color for a "farmhouse ale," and had nothing farmhouse-like about it. Just another amber ale with a mild showing in the hop category, somewhat like an ESB. Carmel malts dominated, but it had a slightly bitter punch at the end. I think they missed the mark entirely on this style. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2004 Draft. Pale hazy yellow, decent head. Citrus aroma. Notes of orange and lime on the palate, a bit sweet, but light bodied. Very citrusy. Not a saison particularly, but a decent beer. Probably the best thing I’ve tried from Flying Fish. willblake (2178), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Pours a clear golden yellow with average, fading head. Aromas are light, citrus, some spice. Palate is wet and refreshing, more spice, reminds of a wit. Finishes on a sour note, acidic, refreshing. A quaffable summer beer, but nothing amazing. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Clear golden-yellow body with a clean sudsy white head. Lightly aromatic nose of pear-like esters and pale doughy malt. Flavor is semi-dry with light tartness and gentle spicy bitterness. Light-bodied palate. Much too clean to be a world class saison in the modern sense, but a decent, refreshing session beer with some modestly pleasing character.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Bottle. Dusty, dry, malty, slightly catty aroma. Minerally. Yellow-golden, clear pour with strong carbonation and a large, fizzy white rocky head. Taste is extremely dry and dusty with a bit of a crispy cracker overtone. Lots more mineral water. Light body, dry and a touch unrelenting, a really nice American take! Have to get used to its character. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Soft floral flavors were indicate of plenty of hops. Hop aftertaste lingered. Extremely drinkable. Light cloudy yellow color. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
