Commercial Description:
A tribute to the highly drinkable ""every day"" beers from French-speaking Belgium. Contains Belgian two-row pale malt and 7% wheat. This beer is lightly filtered with an earthy, spicy hop character from imported Styrian Goldings hops and a beautiful rich creamy head from the wheat. Dry quenching finish achieved by use of the traditional sour mash process

[2006 - Oregon Brewers Festival] A golden pale color. A nice aroma and good easy to drink flavors. Loved as a beer for the hot summer day. This is a good lawnmower brew. A little sweet but this was easy to drink and I enjoyed every drop.

Pours dark straw. Aroma of malt, citrus, hops, and wheat. Tastes summery, hoppy, with a citrus, wheaty finish.

Pretty good brew here... not great but good. Flying Fish doesn’t usually blow me away and... this doesn’t either.

Pours a golden color....actually looked lighter at the outset....hadn’t noticed that before... Small head that had just a hint of lacing. Aroma is of straw/grasss..... nothing special there. Taste has hints of hops and just a little citrus at the end. I could see drinking a crisp ale like this on a summer day.

12oz bottle via trade with Lou18 - Thanks Lou! Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of grass and a bit of spice. Flavor is malty some yeast and a touch of spice. A bit of grassy hops finish this off. Palate is light and somewhat watery. Decent for a summer thirst quencher.

Had this on tap at GABF 2009. This is really more of an American blond ale IMO. It’s very good for that style but not so great for a saison, so I’ll rate it as a hybrid of sorts. Pours a clear golden color with a fluffy white head and decent lacing. Aroma is wheat, citrus, light spice, and grain. Flavor is wheat, pale malt, grain, citrus, and light fruits. Palate is clean and crisp with fairly light body and medium carbonation. Drinkability is high since this is so light with somewhat mild flavors. Finally, let me say it again: if you’re looking for a true-to-style saison, this is not the beer for you. If you just mowed the lawn on a 90 degree day, sure, it’ll work.

Nice golden color. A light and refreshing combination of wheat and malt. Nice hoppy finish. Extremely refreshing for a beer with this kind of flavor.

On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival 04. Pours a light orange/golden color with a faint white head. Aroma has a floral hop smell and a bit spicy. Taste is nicely balanced, light on the hop side, citrusy with a medium bitterness at the end. This brew had a thin mouthfeel and was kinda watery.
