The nose is plastickey with some light fruit and a fairly big hoppiness. The body is quite hoppy for the style with a nice fruitiness with plastic coming through. A spritzy beginning moves into the middle with citrus and resiny wood notes. Finishes smooth with a resiny hoppiness. Not much of a saison I must say, more of a hoppy blonde or something. While there was notihng really wrong with this, I just found it much too bland and uninteresting. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2004 Bottle. Pale yellow with a nice white head. Little bit fruity in the aroma and flavour, some pleasant hoppiness and bitterness throughout but overall a bit bland and light. Nice refreshing beer for the summer but unexciting otherwise. Where is the spice? Mondial 4T (Capflu). hopdog (5617), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Thinner body. Light refreshing beer. Not really my favorite style (light on the aroma and tastes). austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

Whaddaya expect from the city that gave us the 80s one-hit wonder, The Hooters. Anyway, this ’saison’ is generally milder and more watery than I had hoped, though it’d be nice on a hot day when you’re either playing tennis or waxing the car. Slight bitterness in the finish. Had it down on the boardwalk, and kinda wished I had ordered something else. This is probably very good with food, but as a summer beer, this is not my cup of tea (or pint of beer).
