Moderately high carbonation. Slightly spicy form the yeast and nice spice/foral/herbal/grassy aromas from the styrian hops. Aroma was one of the best parts about this beer. Very quenching. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2005 This summer beer poured a pale golden color with a good white head. Clear clarity with some evident carbonation. Some floral aroma with a little spiciness, maybe juniper. The taste is clean and crisp showing nice flavor. Some honey, clove and pepper are the most visible as I taste it. The hops linger in the aftertaste displaying a warming effect. A very good beer for the summer. yemntftb (106), USA

The flavoring is great, especially for a style of beer that often tastes of fake flavoring. This summer ale is sweet, but tastes more like a traditional pale ale, and thats why I like it more then those belgium style summer ales. theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Pour is hazed straw golden with a pretty two inch white head. Fine carbonation bubbles streaming their way to the top. Aroma of earthy herbal maltiness and some soft citrus notes. Taste is grainy earthiness, melding into a light sweetness in the middle, and a crisp citric bitterness to the dry finish. Floral notes are present. Palate feels unfiltered, drinkable and satisfying. Quite a bit of character in this one, I enjoyed it. Thanks Mark! checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Bottle at my wedding: Poured a golden yellow with a white head. The aroma was some hops, fruit, yeast and spice. The flavor was smooth. It tasted slightly hoppy and just enough sweetness to make this easy drinking. Overall, one of my absolute favorite summer beers, good enough for me to supply to my guests at our wedding.
