Commercial Description:
This strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Flying Fish beers. The Grand Cru is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered, the Grand Cru exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and a soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. Bottle conditioned, it is excellent with food as well as served by itself.

Clear gold with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma of coriander, citrus and bread dominate. Lightly sweet flavor of malt, spices(mainly coriander) and citrus.

Medium sized white head. The body is a light gold with few bubbles. The aroma is corriander and peaches. The taste has lots of bread. Also corriander, peach pits and a bote of eating apple seeds. This is dry in the back of the throat. Thanks milkmandan.

Yes, I may be a bit partial to this brew cause its from NJ, but still. Pours out a nice golden color with a beautiful lacing head and a nice fruity aroma. The taste is very well balanced and very drinkable with notes of spice, fruit and a somewhat hoppy finish. This is one of my favorites of this style, not too sweet, not too hoppy,

Lightly cloudy golden. Spicy coriandery wit-like aroma, a bit maltier smelling though. Good yeasty spicy, moderate to full-bodied. Less coriander than in the aroma. Nice and a bit warming in the finish. This is quite nice.

Clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of light malt and clove. Taste has notes of banana, clove, coriander and other spices along with yeast, citrusy lemon. Lightly hoppy finish. Pretty sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body - coats the mouth nicely, not thin or watery. Spiderweb lacing, good head retention. I enjoyed this one.

Golden color, medium-bodied. Spicy nose and even a spicier taste over light caramel. Somewhat hoppy with the spice.
