| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2003 Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Fruity aroma, but a proper belgian would have more carbonation to more properly bring out the aroma. Palate starts full and malty, but finishes thin with a lingering fruityness. Not a bad offering and very drinkable, but I think that some improvements can easily be made. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

The palate is sort of astringent and harsh, but drinkable. Easier to drink as it goes on. Sort of smells like a white wine with some fruity characters. It is a little one-dimensional and hard to finish. I usually down beers in 10 minutes or so, but this took me a whole hour of sipping, and not just to make it last, but cause I couldnt drink it. beerslayer (753), New Jersey, USA

I was at the Great Brews festival & knew that I was going to pass the 800 mark, so I was searching for the perfect beer for the party but really didn't find it, kinda disappointed, so this one will have to do, #1000 won't have to worry about anything less than insanly good, this was a nice strong winter ale that was presented at the beer dinner at the festival, lots of fruitiness in the aroma & finish, golden in color with a nice lacy white head, spicy & citrusy flavors, a little bit of the alcohol was present in the body & aftertaste, decent drinkability, decent seasonal beer
