Commercial Description:
This strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Flying Fish beers. The Grand Cru is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered, the Grand Cru exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and a soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. Bottle conditioned, it is excellent with food as well as served by itself.

My first Flying Fish beer and I was pleased. Tasted like a Delirium Tremens which is a good thing.

Orange in color. Clean tasting. Good beer Its ok for me. Not one of my favorites. I like Flying Fish beer, but not this one. Malty and hoppy. Clean finish.

Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Fruity aroma, but a proper belgian would have more carbonation to more properly bring out the aroma. Palate starts full and malty, but finishes thin with a lingering fruityness. Not a bad offering and very drinkable, but I think that some improvements can easily be made.

Golden ale. Little fruitiness. Alcohol is not really noticeable. The palate is sort of astringent and harsh, but drinkable. Easier to drink as it goes on. Sort of smells like a white wine with some fruity characters. It is a little one-dimensional and hard to finish. I usually down beers in 10 minutes or so, but this took me a whole hour of sipping, and not just to make it last, but cause I couldnt drink it.

This was a ok Belgian Ale. Citrus, clove, and hoppy flavor. Finishes crisp, clean, and smooth.

#800 for me!!! I was at the Great Brews festival & knew that I was going to pass the 800 mark, so I was searching for the perfect beer for the party but really didn't find it, kinda disappointed, so this one will have to do, #1000 won't have to worry about anything less than insanly good, this was a nice strong winter ale that was presented at the beer dinner at the festival, lots of fruitiness in the aroma & finish, golden in color with a nice lacy white head, spicy & citrusy flavors, a little bit of the alcohol was present in the body & aftertaste, decent drinkability, decent seasonal beer

Large white head with lotsa lace that sticks around. Clear gold color, has a nice glow. Vinous, spicey nose, some citrus and some alcohol too. Medium body. Yeasty fruity flavors, some coriander and citrus. Medium sweet finish.
