| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Traded bottle. Simple, average Belgian style ale. Aroma and flavour had some sweetness and some spice but it seemed a little unbalanced. Finished with more harshness than expected for 6.8 ABV. Okay though. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a golden amber color with a small white head. The aroma was sweet, sugary and had a candied fruit element. The flavor was sweet, tangy, sugary, yeasty and had notes of candied fruit and pepper. The finish was long with tangy candied fruits. The mouthfeel was rather thick. Interesting. dagimp (135), Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Very sweet and fruity beer with a smell to match. Easy drinking without a strong alcohol presence. Much better served slightly below room temp rather than cold. I especially like this beer with dinner as it is versatile enough to go with a very wide variety of dishes. A very solid offering by Flying Fish and a good value. HoppityHop (105), New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 25, 2009 A golden-almost-amber color with minimal head and zero lacing. Aroma is mostly malt and spice. The mouthfeel is slightly chewy, and the carbonation is on the mild side compared to some within the style. Overall flavor is sweet citrus with an underlying taste of wheat that keeps it from being as drinkable as it could be. Decent, but not as good as their Dubble. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Pours from the 12 oz. bottle a pretty golden color with almost no head, just a modest collar. Light carbonation...several bubbles rising to the top, but it’s far from fizzy. Aroma is sweet & friuty. First sip is sweet malt & citrus, with a spicy bitterness. There’s a fizzy, champagne-like sparkle on the tongue. Aftertaste has a spicy finish with notes of citrus, alcohol, & mild hops. It’s a very drinkable beer, maybe TOO drinkable with it’s very well hidden 7.2% abv. Overall...quite a wonderful, tasty Belgian to warm you up on a cold winter’s night!!! If you see it in the cooler, grab it! imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2009 12oz. Pour is a nice golden amber with 3 finger white head. Aromas of spices, sweet malt, and a small piney hop. Flavor is well balanced between the malt and spice. You get some noticable citrus in the finish. Solid brew. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Citrusy aroma with malt overtones. Nice intensity. Slightly cloudy amber body with small head. Slight yeast notes dominated by a sugary malt. Carbonation bite on the finish. This was an initially promising beer, but it has little depth in the palate. The finish was particularly weak.
