Commercial Description:
At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

Very sweet floral nose on this golden pour. It smells better then it tastes, but I liked how it toned it down and was more hoppy and bitter.

had to re rate because i grabbed a cold one from the same case and it was still a little watery and had the same german astringent bubbles. but this bottle most assuredly had a nice fruity hop character with a decent essence de pine. quite nice, golden almost undecipherable malt backing. the hopfish i remebered. good for a warm day. better on a hot one.

(Rating #940)

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, minimal head. Peachy nose. very dry and lightly appley, fairly light bodied. Kind of bland for an IPA and with disturbing green apples. Finishes with medium bitterness.

12 oz bottle, via DocLock. Pours a completely clear copper body under a one finger fizzy off-white head that quickly faded. Nose is very lightly malty with lots of floral perfumy hops. A little bit of a soapy quality to it. Flavor is all perfumy hops with a very minimal bready malt base. Very low bitterness level. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a fairly crisp finish and moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, this was’t especially bad, just not really my type of IPA.

12 oz bottle. Poured a nice amber color with a creamy off white average head. Initial aroma was fantastic loaded with hops, pine, and grapefruit. Flavor was not as exciting and tasted more like a pale ale than an IPA. Overall an okay beer but needs more hops presence in the flavor.

Amber in colour with diminishing white head. Hoppy aroma, smooth, not as hoppy as plentifully advertised. Good for flying fish but an average IPA all in all. Soft carbonation, a little creamy, decent balance but lacking much flavour, short finish. Its aight.

Crystal clear reddish-amber pockmarked by rows of bubbles rising to a tight creamy head. Nose of woody English hops and sweet toffeeish caramel. Well-balanced English IPA - zesty, grassy, spicy Kent Goldings with a touch of molasses in the finish. Nice session beer, but not quite hoppy enough for an IPA.
