Commercial Description:
At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

Thanks Illinismitty. Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium thick head wtih a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a slight apricot note and a toufh of citrus. Medium bodied and smooth.

Bottle... Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Terrific retention. The nose delivers notes of black tea, oak, vanilla and a hint of sour mash. Perfectly balanced flavor. Again, black tea, a whisper of sour mash and moderate toffee. Medium to full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Finishes dry with a rumor of whisky.

The pour reveals a clear copper color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of floral and fruity hops with caramel malt. The mouthfeel is dry.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry courtesy of Thaichile. Pours a mostly clear, very bubbly, amber-orange with an average size lasting off-white head. Decent lacing. Sweet, fruity aroma with citrus and floral hops and sweet malt. Slightly watery flavour starts sweet and malty with some grain and fruit and finishes with a light bitter finish. The aftertaste is only so-so. Medium bodied. Nothing special but it’s an enjoyable enough IPA.

Bottle (12oz). not shared with anyone, nope, not at all. Clear bubbly amber with a decent lasting solid off-white head. Gentle rich tangerine/grapefruit almost sweet hops, sweet malt backing, simple. Taste is pretty grainy, the citrus hops are kind of dull, with a slightly harsh aftertaste, not much linger or finish - not bad, but weak. Slightly sub-par body, decent carbonation - overally just unmemorable.

Mostly clear amber pour under a medium light khaki head. Mildly citrusy and piney aroma. Balanced malt and hop flavors with grapefruit and brown sugar. Somewhat thin mouthfeel and a dry and pleasantly bitter finish. Had they let the hops loose in the brew kettle a bit earlier, this might have been a much better IPA.
