| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 10, 2006 Sample from the bottle (12 oz) at the Mondial de la Bière in Montreal, 2006. The pour is a clear dark amber-bronze with a faint trace of whipped foam....spicy PNW hops in the nose, pungent and strong with a touch of acrid smoke and a certain "meatiness" (mmm, bacon-hops).....the body is alas a touch thin and watery, offering ill supporting strength to the solid hop bitterness throughout, though there is a nice moderately sweet maltiness evident....towards the finish, dry and twiggy with some nice spicy herbal character, perhaps a bit of lemon verbena ....I found little fruitiness, and the overall dryness/bitterness was a bit problematic. Decent, though. HopBackDoc (394), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA
