Aroma: floral with some minor citrus hops coming through, malt. Taste: Slightly bitter and citrusy up front with some sweet malt, wood, with a smooth bitter finish. a very drinkable ipa, although I usually like my ipa’s a bit more hoppy. donrajin (233), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2006 This is a nice good drinkable IPA. It is not as over the top as some of your more popular IPA’s. Nice smooth hop flavor without being citrusy or harsh. A nice beginner IPA. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2006 This is as nice as anything I have ever had from flying fish. A good, easy to drink, middle of the road IPA. Lacks the grapefruit intensity of a Stone, or the over all intensity of a Dogfish 90 minute or a Victory IPA, but nicely balanced. Blended American hops work well together to create a modest and subdued IPA rather than the hoppy focus of a Hop Wallop. Good dark amber with a small head, Citrus nose. Sweet malt and hops in the taste with a long finish. Makes me think of Bass Ale Draft from years ago ... not the same variety of hops, but the same balance of malt and hoppiness. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2006 Bottle: Coppery orange, large foamy light tannish head, fairly nice lacing, soft carbonation. Grainy/mash tun oriented hop nose. Very slight tea and/or tobacco leaf. Perhaps even a bit of citrus peel, but very faint. Mild tea/tobacco leaf like hop bitterness. The graininess and spent grain aroma is not found in the flavor. Very mild IPA otherwise. Semi-sweet malt finish. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Decent, but not lively enough for my tastes. More of a Pale Ale to me, and a soft sweet one at that. Thanks Jeff for the bottle!

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 10, 2006 (12 oz bottle: Obtained 06-May-06 in trade with Otter, thanks Jeremy!) I don’t know if I like this beer or not; it’s like I’m drinking and IPA flavored with perfume or something. Sweet and very floral, orange citrusy, moderately bitter, a bit tealike, grainy, dusty, it’s not like most IPAs. Grainy, dusty, sweet and citrusy in the nose. Medium bodied with smooth, gentle carbonation. Golden-amber in color, fairly clear, initially topped by half an inch of off-white head that settles to a wide ring. Plenty of droopy, loosely ringed lacing on the top half of the glass. I guess this is an okay IPA. It’s not really my style -- the floral nature is just too much -- but it’s pleasant and easy drinking, moreso when my palate gets used to the floral hops. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA
