Had a citrus aroma with the balanced smell of malts and hops also. Taste was of grassy hops with grapefruit and light pine with the malt body also coming through. dmtroyer (410), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2007 12oz. Pours dark, clear amber. Some fruit and a touch of pine in the nose. Relatively light-bodied, I found this fairly lacking in malt. This resulted in a one-dimensional IPA with not much to talk about. Alcohol is fairly noticeable on the finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2007 On tap the the Good Dog 4th Anniversary Party (thanks for the heads up fcaseyf). Pours a translucent golden amber with a smaller off white bubbly head. Aroma of some tropical fruits, light citrus and bready malts. Flavor was all hop cones with a light hop bitterness, mixed citrus and fruity. Grains were more cereal/bready than some of the traditional caramel, but it worked nicely for this one. Earlier Rating: 3/2/2006 Total Score: 3.7 On tap at the Flannigans Boathouse. Pours a translucent golden amber with a very fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma of oranges, pine, toffee and caramel. Flavor had a very citrus hop feel. Very nice hop/malt balance coming across in both aroma and flavor. Braudog (3767), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Bottle: Light amber, nicely carbonated with a thin, but firmly rocky top of foam. I swear, as hard as I inhale, there’s no aroma whatsoever. The flavor is vaguely delivered ... hint of smoke, bit of a hoppy curl and a decent malt pull on the palate. The more I drink the better it seems, worthy of a session or two. (#3222, 1/26/2007) zethca (62), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Pours amber gold with small head. Hop presence is very diluted (could be a freshness issue) with very little aftertaste at all. Very light in the mouth. Makes for a very drinkable and refreshing IPA but definitely not the finest. jeremytoni (1109), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
