Commercial Description:
At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

Sweet malty aroma with cakey nots and alcoholic vapors. Medium body. Good balance, not too hoppy, plenty of malt character. Crisp. Finishes with a tongue curl from woody astringency.

Medium orange pour, nice soft white fluffy head. Kids vitamins in the aroma with hints of pine. Flavor is more malt oriented than most IPAs with some syrupy sweetness and just a hint of citrusy bitter hoppiness. Fades slightly in the finish. Sticky mouthfeel. Thanks to Aurelius who brought this back from Mayland.

Does anyone recall the Dunkin Donuts commercial where people make quotation signs with their hands when referring to coffee (A guy will say to his friend, “hey do you want…’a coffee’? “)? Well Flying Fish’s IPA just may be in the same non-descript boat. My friend suggested that the beer get renamed “Fish.” Not too hoppy, not to malty, not to much of anything; it is highly forgettable – an IPA for people who don’t like hoppy beers

Clear, light bronze appearance with an average size, off white head and good lacing. Floral hop aroma overlaps the caramel malts. Well defined spicy hop flavors with a good malt backbone. Bitter hoppy finish with a bit of tart apple in the aftertaste. Stylistically similiar to an English pale ale.

12 oz bottle from slob - thanks for yet another IPA dude! Pours a slightly hazed orangey amber, with a moderate off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is toasty, somewhat biscuity malts with moderate hops, floral, orange and sweetly herbal. Flavor comes across as more full than the aroma, though still features the toasty malts with hints of toffee, then giving way to a bold hoppiness, again floral and citrus with a bit of dusty herbiness as well. Light to medium body and gentle carbonation. This is a nice and enjoyable East Coast style IPA

POurs brown gold with a big head. Has the citrus aromoatics form the hops and the body gives the critus fruit with a nice amount of bitterness to balance it. It shows a very long finish.

Bottle pours a hazy dingy orange coor with a huge sandy colored head. Aroma is definately hops but its a bit off. Papery and of wood and some orange. Nice malty and bitter hop combo. Not over the top hoppiness. Decent all around.
