Dirty dishwasher aroma with some sour stuff in it. The hop flavor is interesting - musty basement in the summer followed by something of a deep sweetness. In my opinion, this isn’t how an IPA is supposed to taste. Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing. BuckeyeBoy (1674), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2007 It has a pale amber body witha head that descends neither quickly nor slowly. Smells like pine needles and hops. Actually, this is probably the piniest beer that I have ever smelled. Taste is pretty much straight hops... unlike other IPAs, this one is not really fruity at all. Dry and nutty on top of that. A nice and drinkable IPA... worth drinking another one methinks. It’s certainly interesting, distinct and original in an IPA, but I don’t know that I’d add delicious to that list. It’s worth a try, but I don’t know that I could drink an entire sixer of this stuff. Above average, but nothing special--a rating that most Flying Fish beers get. EithCubes (2166), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Updated: Sep 11, 2007Draught at Ponzio’s in Cherry Hill. Full bodied, clear orange. Lightly kissed by hops, but nothing too severe. Story here is the firm, robust fruitiness. Refreshing and surprisingly good – after two pints, I still wanted a third. [3.1]
"Scientific" re-rate from the bottle confirms most of the details, especially the lovely fruitiness, but adds a stronger hop dimension - sticky and piney with vague cough syrup, tropical fruit and pineapple, and slight muggy Fuggley tones. Crisp and lightly bitter, and despite the vague macroish tinge after sufficient quantity has been consumed, there’s still an absolutely prima breadiness developing and lasting long in the aftertaste. I still really enjoy this. [3.3] bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Not the best, not as good as Hop Devil, but it’s worth trying if you are an IPA fan. Hoppy smell, and not so overwhelming hop flavor. Pailhead (2603), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Bottle: The aroma is a huge kick of freshly peeled oranges with a touch of soapiness. It pours a transparent amber with a touch of haze and a small white head. The flavor stars with moderate orange with some faint caramel in the background. The caramel quickly fades leaving a citrusy finish, but I wouldn’t call it hoppy. I really like the fresh orange aroma and flavor, but lacking in hoppiness. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA
