Commercial Description:
This robust dark brew has been created using rich Columbian dark roast coffee to celebrate our 10th anniversary in royal fashion. The enticing regal aromas of toffee and licorice lead to the coronation of taste; a palate of malty richness exhibiting chocolate and coffee notes, balanced by the noble and novel Mt. Rainer hop, all topped with a rich creamy crown. This very special offering will warm your soul and lift your spirits. Oh yeah, it also packs a royal kick at 8% alcohol.

Pours a deep brown hue with a light slight off-white head . Aromas of choclate, caramel, alcohol, roasted nuts, vanilla and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lingering finish. Flavors similar to the aroma with a gentle sweetness and alcohol that is only noticable on the back my tongue. Nice creamy mouthfeel and a light bitterness.

Bottle from Bert. Thanks. Pours out a dark black color with a tan head on it. Smell is sweet, full of coffee, chocolate, some caramel, and some sweetness. Taste is full bodied, thick, full of coffee and chocolate, slight hop taste to it. Very good stuff - not as good as the duck rabbits, but still, quite the beer. Thanks Bert, glad this one didnt damn near kill me.

for what it is it’s, pretty good. nice aroma of mostly scotch caramel. sweetish porter with a cocoa and coffee wallop. fruity hop notes bring cherry to the mind (probably the licorice notes). looks like a regular porter. alcohol warm and well hidden. i wanted a quality oatmeal stout, and this filled in nicely! (for the pinch)thin with a nice hop swish across the tastebuds.

This porter pours a medium brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized tan foamy head. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate. A medium bodied Baltic Porter. Malts are fruity and roasty, lots of chocolate and vanilla. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice porter. Lots of chocolate and vanilla flavors, not a lot of roasty malts and coffee. Very smooth tasting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

A really nice beer with everything you want in a porter, and a little more!! Aroma is fresh brewed coffee, vanilla, toffee and milk chocolate. Appearance was very dark, nearly black with deep red highlights and a nice tan head. Mouthfeel was incredibly smooth and silky. Flavor was fresh coffee, dark fruits, vanilla, tobacco with supringly mint-like finish. A very different beer, not your run-of-the-mill Baltic’s but that’s a good thing. And a great beer.

Bottle... Dark chestnut-colored lager with a small, fizzy, khaki head. The aroma is spent coffee grounds, cola and chocolate with just a rumor of campfire smoke. Black cherries and coffee with hints of cocoa and cola in the flavor. Leans slightly toward the sweet side of balance. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Lengthy, mildly bitter, acrid finish. Cheers to boboski for supplying the bottle!

Now this I enjoyed. Sweet and strong. Definitely can taste the coffee, but also some vanilla. Creamy and sweet.
