glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 20, 2008 OBF. Very nice mix of dark fruit and caramel malts. Cherries might add another dimension, but they don’t jump out at you. Still, very nice Dubbel. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA Aug 29, 2008 750 Thanks to the brewer of FF. Pour is muddy ruby color with thin dissapating head. Nose is cherries, sour, and some malt. Flavor was wattery and terrible. No cherry flavor at all and this brew was just bad. I dont know what when wrong here. BuckeyeBoy (1639), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 4, 2008 At Oregon Brewers Festival 2008 Pours out a nice brown topped with a off white head. A nice aroma of light cherries and spice. A little sweetness on it. A nice mix with the cherries and spice. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 28, 2008 On tap at OBF--Poured a deep chestnut body with a rich beige head. Lots of cheeries and dark fruits in the nose. Lots of malty caramel and sticky nutty residue. Quite good. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Jul 26, 2008 OBF 2008. I thought this was just going to be the dubbel they bring every year, but the cherries added a nice twist to it. I didn’t get a lot of cherry flavor, but it did tend to add a good sweet fruit flavor to the finish that before I read that this had cherries I thought tasted like pie. The spices blend well with caramel tones and a sweet fruit flavor to give this an interesting pie like flavor. BuckeyeSammy (454), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2008 Very interesting beer, Belgian style.. Nice cherry undertones. Well balenced carbonation. Hints of spice in flavor. Thick beige head, apricot amber. Got this 750 at the brewery, thanks again CZettler. corby112 (671), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2008 Pours a very dark amber/ brown color with beige head. Aroma is spicy and fruity with a lot of cherry and berries along with subtle hint of malt. Well balanced with a nice amount of roasted chocolate maltiness to balance out the cherry and spice flavors. Slightly dry finish. michael-pollack (2601), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 14, 2008 Draught: Aroma of cherries, medicine, and maybe a little juniper. Poured orange/amber in color with a medium-sized off-white head that diminished. Hazy. Sparkling. Tasted of cherries, then toasted malts, sourdough, pretzels, and a bit of chocolate. Medium body. Thin, sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Malty, salty finish.
