Commercial Description:
Once a year Flying fish adds dried organic cherries, lots ands lots of pricey cherries, to their abbey dubbel to create Lovefish. The cherries add a unique dimension to the already complex abbey dubbel. Give the object of your interest a glass of this an it will be love at first sip.

Reddish-amber color with small head. Sweet aroma with plenty of cherry and other fruit flavors. Taste is pure cherry. Still a fruit beer - but better than most. Nice to try and as a light dessert.

Good stuff taking their very nice dubbel and lacing it with cherry. Subtle, not overwhelming cherry mingles well giving the dubbel some underlying sweetness and a slight sour note. Very nice and, as I’ve come to enjoy, a nice show of restraint in a world of bigger is better beers.

Love Fish is their Grand Cru brewed with a good amount of cherries, so that comes across real early in the aroma. Not being a fan of fruit in my beer this was one impressive brew very good and a must for anyone who can find it.

Draft at the Drafting Room. Deep copper pour with medium ecru head. Aroma of malt, toffee, chocolate, raspberries. Tastes malty, with some cherries and Belgian dubblish fruit at the finish. I call this one the younger brother of 3 Philosophers.

An interesting take with the cherries added. Theres a slight aroma of them and some more hints in the flavor with malt throughout. Would like to try again.

Tap at Andy’s, nice golden color with reddish tones, nose was sweet, pretty much just cherries. Taste was fantastic, with the sweetness of the cherries hitting early and late, and the character of the dubbel carrying the middle. If this had been the only beer I had that night, it would have been worth the hour+ drive.

Tap at andy’s. Poured a golden redish amber. Tan head. sweet aroma, you can smell the cherries. Wow! I loved this. it starts with a very good dubbel, and the cherries come along and Pow! this is sweet, but dry and balanced. This was a excellent. Try this.
