Commercial Description:
Once a year Flying fish adds dried organic cherries, lots ands lots of pricey cherries, to their abbey dubbel to create Lovefish. The cherries add a unique dimension to the already complex abbey dubbel. Give the object of your interest a glass of this an it will be love at first sip.

Poured a copper color with a small off white head and no lacing. Fake plastic aroma of some fruit and hops. Young fruity taste of cherry, berry, and grape as well as a mild malt and phenol taste. Some carbonation led way to an average mouthfeel.

This is a good Fruit Beer. One of a few that I like they usually are too sweet for my taste. This one had a nice balance of malt and fruit (cherry) flavors. Finishes clean and smooth.

Excellent balance between the fruit and malt. They both compliment each other.

Tap. Reddish brown, no real head. A fruity cherry and raisin aroma, but subdued (a little more would be nice). Flavor is sweet and malty, with a well blended cherry flavor, that fits the dubbel flavor nicely. Not necessarily my thing, but reasonably well made.

I enjoy drinking Flying Fish's dubbel, especially in the winter months. This beer comes to the Grey Lodge Pub in Philadelphia every Valentine's Day. The cherries add to the Dubbel's complex flavor and makes a great blend of beer and fruit. Worth trying, but with limited production (this year only two kegs) its up to you to seek it out.

Had this on draft at the Grey Lodge in Phila, one of only two places. Comes out once a year around Valentines Day. This was very good. The cherries blended right in and were not overpowering. Nice smooth beer. Not much of a head. Good lace.
