Commercial Description:
First released in 2002, and sold out in two weeks. A tribute to the classic Fest styles of Germany the O'Fish uses European malts hops and yeast. A beautiful reddish color, a savory malt profile and nice hop flavor, make this Fest beer quite drinkable. OktoberFish is great with food and especially great with Lederhosen.

Malts: Muessdoerffer Munich, Muessdoerffer Vienna, Pauls Amber, Dingemanns De-Bittered Black and Two-row pale
Hops: Horizon, Crystal
Yeast: Dusseldorf Alt
Original Gravity: 14.3 Plato
Formats: 1/2 kegs, 1/6 kegs, cask-conditioned
Availability: September 1 to November 1 (if it lasts that long)

Pours a nice redish/copper color with a medium white head. Smells very malty and sweet. Very inviting. The taste is amazing! Not too think, not too bitter, sweet, well balanced. This is one of my favorite oktober beers!

Medium/dark amber color - a little cloudy with a thin uneven head. Aroma is bready and slightly earthy. Flavor is moderately sweet, but rather muddy without any crisp roastiness or well-formed body. Finish lingers a bit and is a little sticky. Nothing worth trying again.

Sample at the Mill Hill Saloon in Trenton, NJ: The beer is brownish-amber with a medium thin beige head that has good retention. Thin rings of lacing. Bready malt, grain and floral hops aroma. Medium body with a mellow fruit and malt character, and grassy hops in the background. The finish is sweet at first with a light hops and spicy alcohol aftertaste. Above average overall.
