Commercial Description:
First released in 2002, and sold out in two weeks. A tribute to the classic Fest styles of Germany the O'Fish uses European malts hops and yeast. A beautiful reddish color, a savory malt profile and nice hop flavor, make this Fest beer quite drinkable. OktoberFish is great with food and especially great with Lederhosen.

Malts: Muessdoerffer Munich, Muessdoerffer Vienna, Pauls Amber, Dingemanns De-Bittered Black and Two-row pale
Hops: Horizon, Crystal
Yeast: Dusseldorf Alt
Original Gravity: 14.3 Plato
Formats: 1/2 kegs, 1/6 kegs, cask-conditioned
Availability: September 1 to November 1 (if it lasts that long)

good malt flavorings tastes clean and genuine. nice dry and light hoppy bite -in the german tradition-. some kind of nice sweetish tea or maybe white wine ( grappa) flavor in there. seems sophisticated. now slightly out of balance but character in in here. like the bitter german bite, this beer tastes darker than it is.

Pours a clear orange-coppery color with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, grains and faint malt. Taste is grainy with a malty backbone and a spicy finish. Average.

Bottle from MrBendo. Hazy copper-orange body, thin off-white head. Caramely sweet aroma with brown sugar, cereals, and hints of citrus. Toasty, cerealy body, sweet, with slightly tannic leafy hops providing tea-like notes. Light spiciness. This is quite good.

This is one of my favorite seasonal brews from one of my local brewers. Looks like you would expect from an Octoberfest , but with a hoppier aroma. Flavor is well balanced, and always reminds me of fall

Bottle from Ty. well for an Alt it was not bad. I do not like Alt brews as they seem to tasteless. This did have some nice fall flavors. Some caramel and a dash of spice and some grains?

Malt, toffee, caramel, nutty nose with a dark wheat, malt flavor. It poured a bland brown and went down smooth. It wasn’t anything special, but it is one of their better beers for sure.

Not a bad little seasonal. Reddish amber in color with a small tan head. malty nose with a dash of yeast and hops. Lightly sweet malty body with a subtle hop finish. Light bodied ... a pretty good beer that I’d probably have again but wouldn’t seek out.

Draft - Copper, light tan fizzy head. LIght toasted caramel nose with hints of florals, cherry, and bread. More toasty caramel flavors ensure that receive a light hop bitterness for balance. Light to medium bodied, light carbonation, toasty bittersweet finish. Decent take on the style...
