very strong cabonated taste even after head diminishes. Palate is otherwise good with coffie malts.

The first thing I noticed about this beer was the smokiness in the taste. It is a nice dark ale with a rich smooth taste.

Massive, carbonated head that more resembles a Diet Pepsi than a creamy porter. A rather stale nose on this, which in turn deadens the sweet chocolate aroma that is somewhat noticeable underneath. Prickly, thin mouthfeel. Nice roastiness in the finish, but rather dissappointing otherwise.

Very roasty flavor. Thin consistency and somewhat fizzy. A good beer but unfortunatly not available in my area.

Very strong chocolate tones and aromas as well as smooth and not as thick as a normally heavilly chocolate noted porter. Very drinkable.

01.05.05 12oz bottle. I sucked it up and bought a 6-pack of this today so it better be decent. Dark cola pour with dark head that leaves funny craters. Maple, chocolate, and rum raisin ice cream aromas with hints of roasting like slightly burnt carrot cake. Very sweet flavors are sugary and malty. It’s good -- good like a sweet coffee treat with lots of cocoa and hazelnut or some other nut or something nutty that’s not at all a nut. The palate is light but hearty with fizzy eff that gets excited in my mouth and tingles and sparkles. Then again, I just had some salt and vinegar chips that may have made my palate sensitive to that sort of thing. Either way, this is good stuff and could easily be thought of as a gateway beer for local folks interested in trying something off the beaten path.

This is a nice smooth porter that leaves you with a good aftertaste. It’s decently smooth and not any bitter aftertaste. It could use a more of a darker flavor however.

Pours dark with a nice, lasting head. Very full, but smooth mouthfeel. Aroma and taste of roasted malts, chocolate, and a little nut. Nice brew.
