faroeviking (4124), Faroese Beer Republic union of, Denmark Aug 1, 2008 Botella. Brewed under license from Doon Valley Brewers in Dehradun city situated in the 27th Indian state of Uttarakhand. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Strange malty sweet aroma. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour is a bit sweet with some malt and grains with some strange breadiness. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Apr 27, 2008 Calgary Beerfest 2008. An interesting banner behind the booth showed a roosting flying fox with the words "Transylvannia Beer" on it. The guy pouring it said it was from Germany, and that it was one of the featured "beer-in-a-box" products at the show. I got the dregs of the pour, but enough to get a good taste. This was a golden amber colour, clear, with a massive white head. Huge aroma of brewer’s cereal. Corny malty palate, sweet. Quite odd really, and not all that great. oh6gdx (5700), Vaasa, Finland Mar 7, 2007 Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is not mnuch, slight diacetylic sweet caramelly and hayish. Flavour is cooked vegetables, harsh hay and very unpleasant. TBone (4924), Pori, Finland Jan 18, 2007 Bottled
Another Haus der 131 Biere product. Golden colorm small but steady white head. Aroma is malty with skunked rice-like notes. Decently malty but also unclean sweetbread-like notes. Rice is clearly used here. This is Budweiser or Chinese lager with a bit thicker body.
