| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 31, 2005 American hops feature in the fruity aroma. Medium brown colour with shy, off-white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Vinous and grapey fruit flavours don’t seem to meet the flat dark malts or the grassy, haylike hops. Medium-light body is just a touch watery with low carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Small sample at the brewpub. Translucent light copper with a minimal head...sweet caramel and some decent pungent herbs in the nose...light sweet flavor, ok at first but undone by thin grapiness. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Hazy chestnut brown, limited head. Slightly floral, caramelic, grapey and earthy yet light nose. Well contained acidity compared to many of their other beers. This has plenty of fruit flavours, nutty undertones as well as melon, darkberries and appleskin complexities. Wet mouthfeel is accompanied by mellow carbonation. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Muscular cherries and peaches dsitribute their ample sweetness onto the citrus fruit...A rotund body exposes some buttery exhales...Acidic sourness and metallic undertones baffle, as does the English range of flavors and mouthfeel for this "bock"...
