| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours caramel brown with moderately-sized, off-white head. Aroma is caramel and a slight bit of faintly metallic hops. Flavor is lightly sweet grain, with a moderate amount of citrus peel-like hop bitterness. Hints of butterscotch, sourness and a little toasted bread, as well. A bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is lively, moderately full, but does feel like it has a bit of wateriness at times. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Bottle: It has an amber orange color to it. And a nice sweet, malty-caramel aroma. The flavor was smooth and easy (surely not the adjectives many beer geeks want to hear, but it was a really good beer) with subtle flavors.

Smell: Grainy, light caramel aroma with and a hint of apple-scented cardboard.
Taste: Vague maltiness, little sweetness, and not much in the way of hops or bitterness. However, you are treated to tastes of cardboard and acidic apple juice. Oddly caustic finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Pretty poor amber. I can’t see any reason to give this one a try.
UPDATE: But I did end up giving this one another try. Regrettably, it’s still awful. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin wispy ring of off-white head. Has a sweet caramel sugar and lightly toasted malty nose. Body starts lightly sweet and very watery with only some mild grassy bittering hop presence and faintly toasted malty notes. Not offensive, but very bland.
