black, wispy tan head that is easily roused into a big head producing lots of drippy lace, dry roasted malt aroma with light dark chocolate character, rich dark chocolate flavor, plenty of roasted, light tartness, long dry roast finish

Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, wispy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with some mild earthiness. Body starts fairly full with a nice, light sweetness and well-dissolved carbonation drying out more toward bittersweet, earthy dark chocolate finish. A pretty good dry stout.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark black (with brown edges) and an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of roast, chocoalte, and light coffee. Tastes of roast and coffee. Tastes on the thin side. Body thin and watery.

Bottle: Dark black. Nose of light roast and a touch of licorice; tar, tobacco (maybe). The flavor is thinner, some light coffee. A bit lacking in intensity, moderately malty but not enough caramel or body.
