Fairly restrained blueberry character. The ale underneath is light and lifeless, so the fruit adds just enough to make it acceptable.

Alcoholic, thin blueberry juice...The mirror of a beer...

Red purple in colour, like a cheap fruit juice, wuith a thick pink head...ugly. Blueberry candy powder aroma, and lollipops. In mouth, a rather unpleasant harshness on the side of the tongue, like toothpaste and blueberry juice, some sour notes, with the sweet perfumey malt at the end. Thin bodied, unpleasant fruit beer. A novelty item, which I used to like.

Sweet aroma with a touch of fruit. Clear copper colour with nice sized light mauve tinted head that recedes slowly. Sweet fruit flavour dominates thin malt character. Noticeable diacetyl. Body light and unfortunately lacking carbonation. If it wasn't so still and had a bit more malt character and less diacetyl this might be a very good beer. As is, it's uninspiring but drinkable. Bottle.

Bottle (341ml). Jesus! Poured deep pink/red with a hint of purple, average fizzy pink/white head. Aroma - nothing like beer, smells like a popsicle, a blueberry/raspberry popsicle - not unpleasant, but not like beer. Taste - sweet yet slightly tart faux blueberry with a hint of light american wheat beer character - clean, lightning-quick off the tongue - very watery, decent carbonation, not even a little bit syrupy or cloying, no alcohol character whatsoever - I enjoyed drinking it, even if it’s pretty much completely unlike *beer*

Pours a clear cranberry red color with a medium diminishing pink head. Cheap and sweet aroma of blueberries. Liquorous, sweet flavor of blueberries, it feels cheap and fake.

Slightly cloudy cherry-red body with a small pink head. Leather aroma. Taste of leather, some blueberries, plastic. Very bad. Sweet Madness is its name, utter insanity is its tastes.

Bouteille de 341 ml achetée à La Cave à Bières (Saint-Jovite, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur de bleuets. Apparence: La couleur est rouge foncée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un large col mousseux rosâtre avec une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de bleuets et de vin rouge. Courte durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Faible effervescence en bouche. Présence de fruité en arrière goût. (Rating #529)
