From notes 6/7/06: Barkeep asked if I wanted any fruit to adorn my pint, and I politely declined. Very nice touch to be asked first. Poured a ruddy copper orange with a modestly fluffy light tan head. Little lacing. I frankly expected a darker coloring here, not a murky burnt orange. Aromas are somewhat mild but produce ample banana and yeast. Subtle toasted bread fragrance as well. Prickly flavors of banana and yeast. Sweet caramel maltiness. Doughy yeastiness. Enough carbonation to scrub the tongue clean. Aftertaste lingers for a short while with banana. Drinkable; the pint was drained before lunch arrived. A subtle beer. Tame all the way around. A light summer brew.

A copper color with a beige head. The aroma is malty with some chocoalte, raisins, and a lot of caramel. The flavor is rather sweet with some toffee, caramel, rasins, and chocolate. The mouthfeel was quite syrupy. Overall this was a pretty good beer.

Growler... RBSG2006... Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Smoky nose and flavor... very rauchbieresque. Hickory. Perfectly balanced. A bit tangy. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and faint carbonation. Thin, lifeless finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Served with a slice of lime that I discarded. Clear ruddy brown color. Orange around the edges. Thin off white head. Smells and tastes of clove and banana. There is also a hint of caramel in the aroma. Fresh cereal grain aftertaste. Pretty good.

Draft at FB. Medium brown body with copper and crimson hues. Small off-white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is of heavily toasted grain, caramel, clove, dried banana peels, bittersweet chocolate and biscuit. Flavor is moderately sweet, mildly tart, lightly bitter from obvious citric additions, lightly to moderately acidic. Alcohol warmth in the finale. Finishes soft, chocolatey and grainy, with modest length. Mouthfeel is grainy but smooth, medium bodied. Very interesting, pretty tasty.

Draft at Barley’s in Asheville. Serven with a lemon wedge that was immediately pitched out. Small white head, moderately lasting and a reddish-amber body. Aroma was malty and caramel-like, and there was more roastiness in the flavor than I would’ve expected, based on the aroma. Something about the palate really pleased me. In an odd way, it’s a really smooth soft texture.

RBSG06: Opaque with a nice yellow color. Mild beer. Lots of wheat in the flavor eyet still a little sweet.

Pint @brewpub 9/23/06. Ok nose, sweet. Malty. Caramel, roasty grainy, little clove. Clean orangy brown color, small head that faded quickly. No lace. Sweet flavor, Malty. Lite chocolate, caramel, clove, hint of grapefruit. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, sweet dry finish. Alright, doesn’t excite or offend. didn’t get banana as some seem to of. Easy to drink for sure.
