| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2006 On tap Knoxville Brewers Jam 06. A nice amber/orange pour. A weak light off white head with thick lacing. A nice malty flavor with a citrusy hops kicker. A very nice beer with the kind of bitter that stays with you without getting thick. I wish I had this beer earlier in the day. Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2006 I have to say that I like the old IPA much better but since the brewmaster of old took the recipe for Kind with him, what can you do? nadda thats what. sort of a light amber-orange huge with a small carbonated white head. smells sweet, hoppy and citrusy. pine, grapefruit, earthy. tastes of grapefruit and yeast and florals. maybe some vanilla? there is a touch of sweetness to it. light citrusy hops. I think its not bad for an IPA. but again i’m not a fan of IPAs (I know I’m ridiculous) so for what its worthy - don’t take my IPA word for it. try it. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2006 I have a weakness for this type of IPA - extremely clean, a bit thinner bodied, and a unbalanced to the hop side. Extremely drinkable, and very enjoyable. Sampled at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, 2006. tronraner (1913), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a bright copper with tight white head. The aroma is bready with lots of resinous hops. The flavor is sticky, fruity hops with earthy sweet malt tones. It gets more of a pine sap quality as it warms. Very clean, enjoyable IPA. 19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2006 From notes 1/5/06:
Pours a spectacular copper red with a tight off-white head. Crystal clear. Brilliant. Illuminated. Aromas are rather subtle and quiet for me. I try and try to inhale its hoppy nectar, but it eludes me. Quick rabbit whiffs, or deep long inhalations...I just can’t detect much. Mild citrus juiciness with grapefruit flesh and rind. Juicy sweet grapefruit flesh flavors jump out at you. Bitter grapefruit rind fights against the sweetness. Sticky pine resins cling to the palate. Tree sap tackiness clings to the lips with each sip. Tongue-tightening bitterness. Caramel malts lurk in the shadows. Finishes both splendidly bitter and citrusy. Solid mouthfeel. Emminently drinkable for the hophead. A good one.
