Strong hoppy aroma, nothing too distinctive. Citrus and sweet flavor. Enjoyable.

Draft at ACBF09. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweaty hops and rich hop oils. Flavor of citrus and rich hop oils. This one has a full palate, very well balanced, and superbly drinkable. One of my favorites from a fest that featured many top IPAs. This is a hidden gem. 8/4/9/4/17 (4.2/5)

Draft at WBF Raleigh on 5/2/09. Amber bodied with a short white head. Nose is hoppy and vibrant with pine, caramel, light maple syrup and sweet malts. Taste is big citrus, pine, chewy, sweet malts, caramel and light spice. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Ends with more citrus, pine oils, caramel, light toffee and sweet malts. Nice!

On tap at Raleigh WBF. Pours a clear copper with a thin beige cap that leaves sticky lacing. Aroma of resiny and piney hops, caramel. Taste is grapefruit with piney hops and caramel with some citrus light fruits showing through. Piney finish. Very enjoyable. Yum.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep golden with a nice sticky head and good lace. Aroma is fruity- citrus and some mango with good resinous pine and some grapefruit as it warms up a bit and just bit of toffee and toasted malts in the back. Flavor is low on malts, but high on hops which is nice- grassy, yet still lots of citrus, and grapefruit with a resinous tacky finish.

(Rating #2299)

Pours a light copper color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Nice aroma of bitter citrus hops. Very fruity taste... apricot, grape and grapefruit. Some sweet malts as well. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture.

Not too shabby. Pours a nice orange color with an ivory head. Aroma is heavy on the hops, especially for a regular IPA. Flavor is nice and crisp, very mellow hops, good mix of citrus and piney flavors. Touches of candied sugar and toffee. Balanced and finishes clean. Nice.
