Feb 18, 2009 Not too shabby. Pours a nice orange color with an ivory head. Aroma is heavy on the hops, especially for a regular IPA. Flavor is nice and crisp, very mellow hops, good mix of citrus and piney flavors. Touches of candied sugar and toffee. Balanced and finishes clean. Nice.

Feb 8, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Pours amber with white head. Good bubble gum hop nose. Really not a distinct flavor. Quite bitter though. Kind of light body.

Feb 4, 2009 On Tap at Harrison’s in Cary, NC - this brew poured a nice orange color with a thin white head and decent lacing. The aroma was lots of floral hops, grapefruit and pine. Taste was straight forward hoppy with the grapefruit, lemon and a slight detection of spice to round out the great flavor. Nice solid IPA.

Jan 19, 2009 Sample @ Foothills. Dark orange pour, with a bit of a watery quality to it. A bit of the Simcoe hop came through, which saved it for me. Overall I was disappointed.

Dec 16, 2008 On draft at the Flying Saucer in Raleigh. Very clear orange pour with a string of head around the edge. Floral hoppy aroma comes through nicely. Lots of grapefruit and other citrus notes coming through in the aroma and flavor. Lightly grassy and spicy as well. Hop dominant, but lightly balanced by caramel malt. Quite tasty and one that I will order often!

Dec 15, 2008 Really good IPA. This was surprisingly similar to the Seeing Double. I thought it would be more toned-down, but toned-down is not a good word for this IPA, which remains quite strong and hoppy, in order to light your cowboys fire.

Nov 17, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008. Clear amber - white head. Grape, peach, citrus, light malty, fruity, resin, grassy, lots of hops, peppery, light malty. Nice.

Oct 21, 2008 Thanks to decaturstevo for sliding me behind the tents at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam to get a sample of what the brewers were drinking. Orange in the glass with a tall creamy off-white head that mostly lasted and left good lace. Nice hoppy floral aroma. The flavor finds pine and citrus with a light malt backing. Medium body, crisp yet smooth. Very nice IPA!
