wj94 (64), Virginia, USA Dec 5, 2007 Had this on tap at Fall for Greenville this year. Easily the best beer available at the festival, but still a little disappointing. Having heard good things I was expecting a great beer, but was left unimpressed. Medium orange color, a little pine/citrus flavor, pretty hoppy. Tasted quite bitter. Would buy again but was not blown away. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 1, 2007 Sampled at Summertime Brews Festival. Pour: golden orange. Head: thin fizzy. Aroma: very hoppy floral. Flavor: lively, hoppy, floral, some citrus. Palate: smooth, bitter, hoppy. jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Oct 28, 2007 Sampled many times at the Capitol City Carnival, 2007. Clear medium copper with off-white head. Nice centennial/cascade hop nose. Flavor has a light caramel base then a medium-strength dose of piney citrusy PacNW hops. Very smooth, tasty and drinkable with non-harsh yet ample hop bitterness. Medium bodied with an easy-drinking texture and moderate carbonation. The kind of IPA you can drink all night. Good stuff. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA Oct 21, 2007 Sampled on draught at the Capitol City Carnival 2007. Pouts to a bright, deep golden to amber color, with a tall, rocky, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fragrant, with good citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon. The palate is firm, with good biscuit and caramel malt flavors, paired with a nice back drop of candided lemon/grapefruit flavors. This beer finishes with more good pale and caramel malt and citus hop flavor up front, then ends with a zesty punch of grapefruit and lemon hop bitterness that lingers. Well done AIPA with lots of hop aromas, flavors, and bitterness. Well done, and a nice drinking AIPA. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 17, 2007 (Draught) Pours clear amber body with a medium white head. Aroma of toasted sour dough, caramel, some pine, and light citrus. Flavor of pine, resinous, caramel, and fruity with a bitter, sticky finish. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 14, 2007 GABF ’07. Pours clear amber with an average frothy, off-white head, diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (straw, grain), heavy hops (flowers, pine, citrus), light yeast (sourdough) with notes of peach. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 10, 2007 Pours a clear, light golden color. Thin, white head with minimal lacing.
