brentfeesh (1030), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Aug 27, 2007 Enjoyed at the 13th Annual Southern Brewers Festival. Probably the best of the day. Reddish copper pour with light carbonation. Pine and citrus peal are fresh and inviting in the aroma. It’s a bit musky too. Big hop flavor with tangerine, grapefruit, and citrus peal. Decent malt holding it all together. Very enjoyable. Medium body (a bit on the watery side) with a dry finish. Good stuff. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2007 This was probably the best beer I sampled at the Southern Brewers Fest. A copper color with some nice lacing on my plastic mug. The aroma consisted of caramel, grapefruit, and perfume. The flavor is rather bitter but had a nice malt presence as well. I picked up some lemons, grapefruit, caramel, and brown sugar. Overall this was a good one. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2007 Summertime Brewsfest. Amber on the pour. Sweet, fruity aroma. Simply fantastic. I don’t want to try and pick it apart. Delicious hop aroma. Bitter, waxy, fruity, sweet flavor. Just great. All of their stuff is just great. rayg1 (432), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2007 This pours out a nice orange color with a thick light orange head. Aroma is sweet at first of toasty caramel malts then a fresh pine scent and citrus aroma come in and pass. Upon first sip a second of sweet malts before fresh pine and grapefruit come in and take over. Crisp and clean carbonation and fresh hops leave an nice flavor in the mouth. This is an excellent IPA and I’m very impressed.
