Sampled from a growler thanks to boboski on 7/2/06: Pours a clear bright orange copper with a thin whispy white head. Fresh green piny hoppy aroma has a drier earthy caramel malty balance. Body starts with a highly-carbonated, lightly sweet toasty caramel maltiness turning more fresh, crisp, piny and bitter toward the drier finish. A decent IPA.

Draft sample. Light hazy amber orange body. Big, catty Simcoe nose full of dried lemongrass and fresh cut grass, with a pungent odor more in line with Simcoe/urine/cattiness than cannibus/dank/wet hops. Flavor is sharply bitter and drying, direct hops and a heavy load of bitterness, with little to no malt astringency. Overall a really delicious IPA that hints of higher alcohol.

Draft sample at SBGF07. Poured clear copper color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Heavy sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Growler thanks to Boboski. Poured a clear golden amber color with a small off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with grapefruit and earthy notes. Caramel malt underneath. Decent hop flavor that rides over but doesn’t cover up the malt. Bitterness starts quickly during the flavor. Long dry bitter finish.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep golden with a nice sticky head and good lace. Aroma is fruity- citrus and some mango with good resinous pine and some grapefruit as it warms up a bit and just bit of toffee and toasted malts in the back. Flavor is low on malts, but high on hops which is nice- grassy, yet still lots of citrus, and grapefruit with a resinous tacky finish.

GABF ’07. Pours clear amber with an average frothy, off-white head, diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (straw, grain), heavy hops (flowers, pine, citrus), light yeast (sourdough) with notes of peach. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a translucent golden amber with a creamy off white slightly lacing head. Aroma of fresh citrus hop, caramel malt and some flowers. Flavor was very hoppy, pine, grapefruit, some caramel, earthiness and a decent amount of hop bitterness with hints of some caramel malt to balance.
