Aroma is floral, grassy, caramel, and hints of pine. Light body with a crisp, dry finish. Flavor of floral/citrus and biscuit/caramel malt. Easy drinking and the low alcohol level makes this a really good session type IPA. decaturstevo (2004), decatur, Tennessee, USA

A weak light off white head with thick lacing. A nice malty flavor with a citrusy hops kicker. A very nice beer with the kind of bitter that stays with you without getting thick. I wish I had this beer earlier in the day. tronraner (1933), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a bright copper with tight white head. The aroma is bready with lots of resinous hops. The flavor is sticky, fruity hops with earthy sweet malt tones. It gets more of a pine sap quality as it warms. Very clean, enjoyable IPA. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 26, 2007 This was probably the best beer I sampled at the Southern Brewers Fest. A copper color with some nice lacing on my plastic mug. The aroma consisted of caramel, grapefruit, and perfume. The flavor is rather bitter but had a nice malt presence as well. I picked up some lemons, grapefruit, caramel, and brown sugar. Overall this was a good one. swoopjones (1917), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2007 500mL hand bottled swingtop from BleacherBum, thank you Ryan. I was instructed to open this beer first just in case the carbonation wouldn’t hold, but it did fine. Pours a crystal clear honey golden with a one finger slighty frothy eggshell head, decent retention. Some lacing does cling, though not a huge amount. Aroma of citrus and piney hops, grass, flower petals, light powdered sugar and a bit of biscuits. Flavor is more flower petals, a little less citrus, and a decent amount of biscuits to help balance this. Semidry finish with bitterness at a 6 (out of 10). Lighter in body with moderate carbonation. Pretty solid IPA overall. This beer tastes as much like GI IPA as anything I’ve had. You did good, Ryan!
