opaque light orange, big creamy cream colored head, thick layers of lace, light banana and clove aroma, banana and clove flavor is well balanced, just a touch of sweetness, would like to try a batch with an earlier generation of the yeast to see if there is more sweet banana to be had,

on tap-pours a big foamy white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is mostly clove, some musty wheat and banana. Taste is mostly clove, some musty wheat and banana, a bit sweet. Minimum carbonation. Occasional.

Draft pint at the Flying Saucer, Raleigh. Orange-amber with no head, but a standing milky foam. Banana aroma. Flavors are tart and fruity but the yeastiness and esthers aren’t predominate ... this comes across as a golden ale with a bit of a weizen character. Good. (#2832, 4/27/2007)

On tap at the brewpub as their seasonal. Pours a hazy very light golden yellow with a nice soapy pure white lasting head. Aroma is lemon zest, and good bready pils and wheat malts, with a good estery banana aroma but balanced with a spicy phenol kick- all balanced nicely. Flavor is clean, a bit yeasty, some doughty wheat, and good phenol/ester profile- overall everything kept in check but not "too" clean. Nice.

Draught at Barley’s in Asheville, NC. Slightly hazy, golden color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Aroma is weak esters and subdued clove. Flavor is similar. It was a little more watered down than I expected, and there was an unpleasant bitter, grainy note at the end.

Dirty yellow, nice pillowy head. Very "wheaty" aroma. Y’know, that smell that says "hey, you’ve got yourself a wheat beer here"? Well, that’s what this smells like. Flavor of crackers and bread, with a nice snappy hop finish. uncomplicated and tasty. At 07 Hickory Hops.

On draft at the brewpub; poured a minimally cloudy gold color; good amount of white head. Aroma of clove/yeast/bana. Flavor was what you would expect of the style; but fairly ordinary. Overall it was a slightly below average example of the style.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with white head. The aroma is bread, light banana, and some zest. The flavor is lemon cookies, but not quite as sweet. Some light yeasty banana esters are in there, too. The aftertaste is grainy, and some alcohol is evident far after taking a sip. Decent.
