On tap at Foothills. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Roasted malt aroma with some chocolate and a hint of smoke. Dark chocolate and coffee flavor with a definite smoky malt presence. Creamy mouthfeel. This is very good.

Draft sample at Knoxville Brewers Jam 2009. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasting and good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Sampled at WBF in Durham. Poured a black color with a red tint to it - thin head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee and malt. The flavor on this is more like a great coffee - dark, rich, and very, very tasty - with a sweet finish (chocolate, toffee and some caramel). Another solid offering from the local folks here at Foothills Brewing.
