| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2008 On tap at the brewery. A sweet caramel toffee aroma. A small fizzy white head with some nice lacing. Pours a clear amber color. The flavor is mostly a floral hop, but has more of the bitterness than actual hop flavor. A little bit of malt, but seems somewhat unbalanced. Medium body leaving a nice manageable bitter on the tongue. durhambeer (1227), Durham, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 12, 2008 On tap at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park... an oasis in a sea of Bud. This was particularly good after a sour, watered down and skunky Bud. I’m not afraid to drink Bud at a ball game, but this one was tainted, so my palate was screaming for something to soothe the pain. The carbonation for the ball park’s taps was all messed up... beer lines were 15 people long... and then, thank god, we found the Foothills stand, a new addition this year. I digress....
Nice and particularly hoppy. Quite dark and rather full bodied for a pale ale, and more malty than some. Lasted me enough innings to keep me happy. Another great one from Foothills. kaseyk (20), jenkinsville, South Carolina, USA
