Caramel and burned toffee to the nose, although faint, rise as the brew warms a bit. The flavors are also faint, with an "airy" effervescence in pale malt. The finish is very dry and crisp... almost overcarbonated in the seltzer mouthfeel. A bit underwhelming for me. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Woody, tannic, light caramel, medium heavy bittering. Medium body, stocky mouth. A friendly brew and well done. Long building bitter finish. Diacetyl in the high palate. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and a crisp hoppiness, the hops also lends it a light note of grapefruit. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA

Amber, caramel color, off-white head and light lacing. Nose of caramel, light malt, some light earthy hops. The flavor is sweet, ah, average. Thin mouthfeel. Nice finish. Thanks Chris_o! 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 16, 2006 From notes 3/21/05:
Pours an orangey/caramel color with a fluffy yet still compact head. Lace rings left with every sip. Aromas of brown sugar caramelized in a pan with butter in the makings of a graham cracker crust. Slight fruity esters rise up in slow clouds of aroma. Flavors are smooth and subtle and supple enough to make this a killer session brew. Smooth and again slightly fruity. Caramel maltiness gives way to an understated hop note. Not a razor sharp hop bitterness, but just enough to pierce through the caramelized sugars. Good body to this one. Stellar drinkability. Wished it had a bit more bite to it, but that’s just being nitpicky. Bailz316 (221), Mendham, New Jersey, USA
