Oct 4, 2009 Poured at 2009 GABF, Saturday session. Pours an attractive gold-orange, with a small cream colored head. Aroma is all citrus and sweeter fruits (mainly orange, pinneaple). Body is medium-light with medium attenuation, very creamy-smooth. Flavors come out with a hop tang to them, rounding appropriately with a faint malt sweetness. Freshness of the hops is so important to this beer.

Sep 24, 2009 tap at brewgrass festival, asheville north carolina.... pours a semit-clear medium amber brown elixir with medium white head... big juicy floral hop aroma... flavors had some nice tropical fruit and citrus hops along with some backing honey sweetness. medium to full bodied. a very nice dipa.

Aug 31, 2009 The name is the same ecept for a different word in the begining but the beer is it. Sometimes this fetsivals get me confused. The beer was nice and drinkable although it’s not my type the special taste of the second sip was good and gassy too.

Aug 31, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus/pine hops and caramel malt. Flavor is fairly sweet caramel malt, earth, fruity notes, and loads of citrusy/piney/resiny hops. Really well-balanced. Palate medium-full and chewy. Drinkability really high for the ABV and IBUs. Best beer I had at Foothills and pretty damn good overall.

Jul 24, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Dark copper and lightly cloudy with some lasting bubbles. Aroma is wood, caramel, light grapefruit and alcohol. Flavors of caramel, resin, light grapefruit, plums and oak. Medium body is smooth and finishes dryish, but borders on stickiness. The lesser amount of hops in this one almost makes it seems like a barleywine.

Jul 20, 2009 Cloudy, grassy, crazy drinkable for a double. Lacks some of the cirtus zing that can be necessary in a dipa, so the finish has a bit more sweetness than preferred.
