Hazy amber pour. Fluffy white head and thick drippy lace. Grapefruit and light pine on the nose. Citrus and grapefruit with a balanced finish

Draft, pint glass...very tasty double IPA, citrusy but not very bitter, nice color with not much head, silky and warm, it will do more than make you see double...it will numb your tongue too.

Appearance: Pours a highly appealing, radiant golden-orange color. The bulky, creamy white head leaves plenty of lace on the way down. Smell: The pungent smell of this brew really packs a wallop! The aroma is quite fragrant, showcasing a juicy endless array of zesty citrus and pine scents. Taste: The colossal malt base is more than a match for the monster hop flavors. It’s like Malthra and Hopzilla duking it out in my mouth for palate supremacy. I dare say this one’s a tie! The rich caramal malt flavor is splendid, as is the robust lemon and pineapple hop flavor it balances. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body with a mild carbonation and oh-so creamy. Drinkability: Incredibly drinkable. I went back for seconds! No joke!

on tap at tylers ...poured hazy bronze color with a soapy looking head....body is heavy enough to call this a double, but the hops are overwhelming everything else in the flavor...there ae supposedly 6 different hops in there, but the bitterness is so strong that they dont have individual characters...this is the only 2x ipa i have had that was as oily as a good regular ipa...dont get me wrong it is a good beer, but in the wrong styles

Draft @ Flying Saucer, Raleigh. Hadn’t heard of this one before trying it, but was pleasantly surprised. Great hoppy flavor, not overpowering for the style. Didn’t realize the high alcohol content while drinking. A dangerously smooth double.

One hell of a double. The alcohol is there to let you know it’s high gravity but doesn’t overpower. The malt/hop balance is fantastic.

Tap. Average off-white head. Dark amber hue to body. Aroma is citrus, resin, caramel, and light pine. Flavor is spicy. Bitterness strong and present throughout. Overall Good IPA, could use a little mellowing though.

Draft pint at the Flying Saucer, Raleigh. Dark but shiny red with a broken cloud cover. The aroma is inviting and intimidating at the same time ... heavy malt. The flavor is also heavy-handed ... malt, sugar, warm. The body doesn’t quite match up, but it is still a nice , almost brutally bitter brew. (#2830, 4/27/2007)
