Commercial Description:
Foothills' first high gravity beer may have you Seeing Double. The hops are balanced with just enough body to craft a highly drinkable brew. Expect a full body and a hint of citrus from the seven varieties of hops added to the brew. IBU: 130.

Growler. Pours a cloudy dark caramel orange with a small beige head. Aroma of tangerine, caramel malts and faint pine. Taste is dominated by tangerine citrus with hints of caramel malts and a bit of pine. Very hoppy and Very tasty. Alcohol is well hidden. Excellent !!

On tap @ brewpub 5/30/06. Good aroma, sweet. Citrusy piney, flowery. Pineapple, orange, caramel. Hazy brownish orange color, small head with good lacing. Bitter flavor, that palate burning grapefruit kind of thing. Little mediciny. ABV shows itself. Medium to thick bodied, viscious oily creamy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Tasty, though one dimensional, IIPA. A great beer for the hopheads.

Very dark amber/garnet. Small, creamy, tan head. Aroma of piney, resinous, floral hops, stale grain, and a hint of regurgatation. Flavor is vey balanced for a IIPA- same hops with a generous amount of caramel cookie malt. Resinous, bittersweet finish. Full body, smooth. Very good minus the small flaw in the aroma.

Draft at the brewpub. Amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus/pine hops and caramel malt. Flavor is fairly sweet caramel malt, earth, fruity notes, and loads of citrusy/piney/resiny hops. Really well-balanced. Palate medium-full and chewy. Drinkability really high for the ABV and IBUs. Best beer I had at Foothills and pretty damn good overall.

Sampled at the brewpub.I am not a fan of DIPA but this one has altered my thinking. This reminded me of their Pilot Pale Ale wih roids added.Poured amber with a 2 finger white head.A nice citrusy, piney hop aroma.Hops with some semi sweetness to it.The finish was semisweet with a hint of caramel on the very backend.

This is one big hoppy motherfucker of a beer. Pours an orange color with a thin little white head. Strong grapefruit aroma with a piney background. Strong citrusy flavor with a noticeable but not unpleasant alcohol finish. Made me think of tangerines and christmas trees. Big tasting beer.

Sample at Atlanta Cask Ale. Man I love this style and man this is a great one. Great hop aroma balanced with malt to smooth it out. Nice color and big full body.
