Pineapple, orange, caramel. Hazy brownish orange color, small head with good lacing. Bitter flavor, that palate burning grapefruit kind of thing. Little mediciny. ABV shows itself. Medium to thick bodied, viscious oily creamy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Tasty, though one dimensional, IIPA. A great beer for the hopheads. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Very dark amber/garnet. Small, creamy, tan head. Aroma of piney, resinous, floral hops, stale grain, and a hint of regurgatation. Flavor is vey balanced for a IIPA- same hops with a generous amount of caramel cookie malt. Resinous, bittersweet finish. Full body, smooth. Very good minus the small flaw in the aroma. nickd717 (1384), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus/pine hops and caramel malt. Flavor is fairly sweet caramel malt, earth, fruity notes, and loads of citrusy/piney/resiny hops. Really well-balanced. Palate medium-full and chewy. Drinkability really high for the ABV and IBUs. Best beer I had at Foothills and pretty damn good overall. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
