Jun 3, 2008 Sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser II. Thanks HB! Thick black pour forming a thin creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and espresso, molasses and definately dark chocolate. Bittersweet chocolate dominates the flavor, with notes of dark fruit and molasses. Seriously good stout, glad I got to try it!

May 31, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at weekend of tarts afterparty.
What a looker. Thick black and viscous with a superb chocolate milkshake coloured head that is very tightly packed and lasts extremely well. This is very good stuff. Huge chocolate and sweet coffee with lots of toasty roasty malt giving it a really tangy feel. Slight fruity notes and a little sting from the alcohol that is pretty well hidden otherwise. Stunning dry finish with lashings of dark bitter chocolate. A very good beer in deed.

May 30, 2008 Bottle shared by Rciesla. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, dark roasted malts and a bit of soy. Flavor of sweet roasted malts, coffee, more chocolate and molasses(which is a good thing) and unfortunately more of the soy that I got in the aroma. Rich, thick mouthfeel. Solid, tasty beer but not as good as I had hoped.

May 27, 2008 Sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser II. Bottle courtesy of hellbilly. Pours an opaque black with minimal tan head. Nose is molasses, burnt brown sugar, soy, chocolate and alcohol. Palate is cocoa, dark chocolate and a touch of soy in the finish. Alcohol was pretty well hidden. Creamy mouth feel. Decent stout.

Pours an evil black viscous black with a nice tan head. Aroma of fruits, roasted barley, chocolate, molasses, coffee. Flavor of Burnt cocoa, molasses, fruits, coffee. Very nice imperial stout. Thanks for this one Joshua.

May 26, 2008 Sampled at Paul’s Hoboken gathering. Dark brown, almost black with a small tan head. Aroma: pretty nice with alot of chocolate, moderate roast, a touch of dark fruit and chalk. Taste is chocolate, light molasses and roast, medium bodied with moderate roast and light hop bittering finish. This wasn’t bad, but didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

May 25, 2008 Dark black-brown with lacy brown head. Slightly alcoholic nose with milk chocolate, espresso, and roasted malt. Flavors of milk chocolate, cafe au lait, roasted malt, and a bitter finish.

May 25, 2008 The aroma on this is not really exceptional; a bit of cocoa, meh. The flavor, on the other hand, is superb. Like super rich dark chocolate.
